It’s HOT in Seattle, as I guess it is everywhere else on the West Coast. Not much air conditioning in these parts, as the sweltering days are few and far between. After the winter and spring we’ve had, the warm weather feels great.
On Friday & Saturday we attended a Patient & Family Seminar hosted by the International Myeloma Foundation at the Seattle Marriott. The IMF is an excellent example of how to run a patient advocacy organization. We met lots of other patients as well as some leading researchers in the MM field, and came away with renewed optimism about the treatments available for this disease.
Sounds like things will start to get serious this week. One more diagnostic visit with a cardiologist, then a consultation with our transplant team on Tuesday to go over all the test results and plan for treatment. Bring it on!
